Thought of the day

Emotions are excellent drivers, provided they follow the directions given by logic.

Shame on you!

A friend of mine lost her uncle in an accident because of total negligence of their responsibities by all the authorities involved in this incident. The details of the this shocking incident can be read at http://indranic.wordpress.com/2008/05/17/shame-on-you/

This incident clearly shows how fatal the "chalta hai" attitude of the government can become for common people!

Groundhog day

An excerpt from the movie Groundhog Day :

Phil : What do you want out of life?
Rita : I guess I want what everybody wants: career, love, marriage, children.

Surprisingly only the first one is in our own hands! No wonder they taught us "Man is a social animal" in our first Civics class...

The Conversation

They : Life is a box of chocolates
Me : Just one box!!
They : Yeah
Me : Can there be any exceptions?
They : Nooo..
Me : :( Well, what about the box size?
They : You caught us :)

Does this make any sense?

"I hope life isn't a big joke, because I don't get it." -Jack Handey
Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,

When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.

I passed around the corner,
and someone saw my grin -

When he smiled I realized,
I'd passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth,

A single smile,
just like mine,
could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected -

Let's start an epidemic quick
and get the world infected!

  1. A Programmer works when his code doesn't.
  2. Ever wondered why the terms "Programmer" and "Program error" are so similar!

Thank you sir!

Teachers never die. They live in your memory forever. They were there when you arrived, they were there when you left. Like fixtures. Once in a while they taught you something. But not that often. And, you never really knew them, any more than they knew you. Still, for awhile, you believed in them. And, if you were lucky, maybe there was one who believed in you.---From episode Goodbye of Wonder years

This post is a tribute to the a teacher who believed in me and my math skills in high school. The free home tutions where he taught how to unlock the mysteries of Mathematics began my love with a subject which seemed so boring till then. Even today, solving simultaneous equations brings back those memories. For all this and everything, Thanks Ingle Sir. May your soul rest in peace.

Happy Teacher's day!

Love is..

Love is the expression of one's values, the greatest reward you can earn for the moral qualities you have achieved in your character and person, the emotional price paid by one man for the joy he receives from the virtues of another. - Ayn Rand

Shortest movie ever?

Some background: My company has decided to organize a short movie making contest! And so, I and my colleague, Gopala came up with this script for a verry verry short movie.

Name of the movie : Bullet - The Movie
Plot/Script : The movie begins with a blank white screen and in the background we give the sound of bullet being shot. Next frame, the screen goes blank.

Well the movie is already shot! Isn't it?

Well, we are not shot yet as the last date for submitting entries to the contest is over :)
